Discontinued Gore EMI Gasket Materials
W.L. Gore & Associates has discontinued production of GS2100 and GS5200, two well-known GORE gasket materials for EMI shielding, gasketing, and grounding.
Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) makes proven alternatives to these materials. SSP’s products have UL 94 V0 flame resistance, ASTM E595 low outgassing, and third-party test data.

GORE GS2100 vs. SSP502-40-V0
Use SSP502-40-V0 instead of GORE GS2100, a discontinued carbon-filled cellular PTFE with 45-durometer hardness that meets UL94-V0 requirements. SSP502-40-V01 a 40-durometer shielding silicone that is filled with nickel-coated graphite particles.
GORE GS5200 vs. SSP502-60-V0
Use SSP502-60-V0 instead of GORE GS5200, a nickel-filled cellular PTFE with a 60-durometer hardness. SSP-502-60-V0 is a 60-durometer shielding silicone that is filled with nickel-coated graphite particles.
GORE Gasket Material Offsets
For former buyers of GORE EMI gasket materials, it’s important to understand that SSP-50240-V0 and SSP502-60-V0 are not new formulations. These proven SSP materials have been used for years in critical applications such as defense, aerospace, and telecommunications.
Conductive PSA and Third Party Test Data
During independent testing, samples of SSP502-40-V0 and SSP502-60-V0 were tested both with and without a conductive pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) that SSP can apply to one side of the gasket materials for ease-of-installation.
These reports and other technical documentation are available on the product pages for SSP50240-V0 and SSP502-60-V0.
