Is SSP a Parker Chomerics distributor?
No, SSP is not a Parker Chomerics distributor. We manufacture our own EMI gasket materials and fabricate our own products, which include molded or bonded EMI O-rings, bulk extrusions, custom cut parts, and custom molded parts.
What is a Chomerics EMI gasket?
A Chomerics EMI gasket is manufactured by Parker Chomerics, a division of Parker Hannifin. SSP makes alternatives to Chomerics materials and can cut or mold the EMI gaskets that you need.
Do SSP's CHO-SEAL offsets meet MIL-DTL-83528 requirements?
Many of SSP’s offsets to Parker Chomerics CHO-SEALproducts meet MIL-DTL-83528 requirements, a U.S. military specification for electrically conductive elastomeric gaskets that provide specific levels of EMI shielding.
Importantly, the MIL-DTL-83528 conductive silicones that SSP manufactures and fabricates are part of the M83528 Qualified Products List (QPL) from the Defense Logistics Agency, which is part of the U.S. Department of Defense.
That’s right. We’re not just a distributor. SSP can also fabricate EMI gaskets in standard (e.g., M83528) or custom sizes, including EMI O-rings.
Does SSP offer alternatives to EMI gasket materials made by other manufacturers?
Yes. In addition to alternatives to Parker Chomerics CHO-SEAL products, SSP makes offset to EMI gasket materials from Nolato Jabar, Kemtron, and W.L. Gore (GORE-SHIELD). Â
