SSP’s EMI RFI Silicones Catalog is available for download and contains product information for sheets, rolls, and extrusions.

Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) is announcing the release of its EMI RFI Silicones Catalog. This downloadable resource is available in PDF format and contains detailed information about all of SSP’s products along with part numbers for sheet stock, continuous rolls, and standard extrusions. The all-new Extrusions chapter also lists MIL-DTL-83528 part numbers and the catalog includes two white papers.

To download the catalog, visit the EMI RFI Silicones page of SSP’s website and choose the link for “I’m ready to place an order. What are your standard sheet sizes, roll widths, and part numbers?”

What’s Inside the EMI RFI Silicones Catalog?

SSP’s EMI RFI Silicones Catalog begins with a description of product benefits and a comparison of filler and base materials in terms of costs, features, and maximum volume resistivity (VR). The comparison chart also lists minimum shielding effectiveness according to the MIL-DTL-83528 standard for elastomeric shielding gasket materials. As the Introduction explains, SSP also supplies QPL listed materials and flame-retardant silicones that offset discontinued GORE® materials and conform to UL-94 V0.

Products

The Products chapter describes each of SSP’s conductive silicones and fluorosilicones in detail. In addition to product numbers and descriptions, this chapter contains available form factors and shielding data for each product. In addition to sheet stock, continuous rolls, and standard extrusions, SSP supplies some products as ready-to-mold compounds, custom molded parts, and bonded O-rings. Product shielding data is best-case attenuation, volume resistivity, or shielding effectiveness according to MIL-DTL-83528.

Sheet Stock

The Sheet Stock chapter describes SSP’s part numbering convention for EMI RFI sheet materials and contains tables with individual part numbers and descriptions, including available thicknesses. Sheet stock is arranged by filler and base material, durometer, and standard mold dimensions. SSP supplies EMI sheet stock in standard and custom sizes. Sheets with pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) are available upon request. This chapter also contains a white paper: Sheet Stock vs. Molding for EMI Frame Gaskets.

Continuous Rolls

The Continuous Rolls chapter explains how SSP supplies EMI RFI silicones as continuous rolls for automated die cutting and large, non-bonded gaskets and parts. Standard rolls are 12 inches wide, but SSP can also supply continuous rolls up to 15 inches wide upon request. Rolls with conductive acrylic PSA are also available by request. This chapter contains tables with part numbers and other information. As with some EMI RFI sheet stock, SSP offers some continuous rolls in thicknesses down to 0.010”.

Standard Extrusions

The final chapter in the EMI Silicones Catalog explains how SSP supplies EMI RFI extrusions in various materials as solid cords, hollow tubes, hollow Ds, solid Ds, and solid rectangles. For each extrusion shape, this chapter explains the part number code. Tables indicate MIL-DTL-83528 part numbers and dimensions, recommended groove width, and recommended groove height. There’s also a white paper: O-Rings and Seals Made form Conductive Extrusions.
