SSP2575

Low Outgassing, Low Temperature Silicone for Space Use

SSP2575 is a 65-durometer silicone elastomer for low outgassing, low temperature applications in spacecraft. This product maintains its flexibility at temperatures as low as -116°C (-177°F) and passes ASTM E595 outgas testing with a Total Mass Loss (TML) of 0.17%.

The tables below provide highlights from the technical data sheet and outgas testing.

SSP2575 Outgas Report Highlights

The ASTM E595 Outgas test measured Total Mass Loss (TML), Collected Volatile Condensable Material (CVC) and Water Vapor Recovered (WVR). Historically, a TML of 1.00% and CVCM of 0.10% have been used as screening levels for rejection of spacecraft materials. SSP2575 was within these limits.
