SSP1331T is a 40-durometer silicone rubber that meets the physical requirements in the AMS 3301 specification. It is used typically for parts that operate from -85°F to 400°F (-65°C to 205°C). SSP1331T remains flexible over this temperature range but is not limited to such applications. This AMS 3301 silicone also resists weathering and petroleum-based lubricating oils. SSP1331T is supplied as a ready-to-mold compound or as compression-molded sheet stock. It’s available in black, red, or gray.
The AMS 3301 specification covers silicone rubber in the form of sheets, strips, tubing, extrusions, and molded shapes. SAE International, a professional association and standards-developing organization, defines Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS) like AMS 3301.
The shelf life for catalyzed SSP1331T is two months. Store below 80°F. Cold storage will extend shelf-life.
The table below compares typical values for SSP1331T against the AMS 3301 spec. The test data for this military and aerospace silicone was generated with Bis(2,4 Di -Chlorobenzoyl) Peroxide catalyst system.
