SSP482-75 is a 75-duromter (Shore A), electrically-conductive shielding silicone that’s filled with silver-plated nickel particles and designed to meet MIL-DTL-8352C Type L requirements for elastomeric gaskets.
SSP482-75 meets the requirements of the MIL-DTL-83528 Type L specification for a silver-plated, nickel-filled silicone that’s capable of 100 dB of plane wave shielding effectiveness at 10 GHz. This conductive shielding elastomer from Specialty Silicone Products has a thermal stability range of -60°C to +220°C.
SSP482-75 is tan or gray in color and supplied as fully-cured, conductive sheet stock or as ready-to-mold compounds. Uncatalyzed SSP482-75 has an indefinite shelf life, but may need freshening after 1 – 2 years. . Catalyzed SSP482-75 has a six-month shelf life, and is ready for press-cure molding.
Download the SSP482-75 data sheet for material specifications such as tensile strength, elongation percentage, tear resistance, specific gravity, volume resistivity, and thermal stability. Data was generated with a Varox catalyst system according to ASTM test methods and procedures. SDS information and a fluorosilicone product (SSP482F-75) are also available.
