SATELLITE 2026 is part of SATSHOW Week, a multi-day event at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The conference begins on Monday, March 23rd, and the Exhibit Hall is open from Tuesday, March 24th to Thursday, March 26th. Ready-to-Fabricate Space Materials
SSP makes four space-grade materials at our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Ballston Spa, New York (USA). Some are electrically conductive and some are non-conductive. All pass ASTM E595 outgas testing, which is based on a NASA low outgassing standard and used by the space agency. These materials arrive ready for fabrication via cutting or molding.
- SSP2575 is a 50-durometer, non-conductive silicone with NASA space heritage that remains flexible at -116°C (177°F).
- SSP502-55LT is a 55-durometer silicone that provides EMI shielding and has a TR-10 low temperature capability of -70°C (-94°F).
- SSP502-40V0 is a 40-durometer, flame-retardant EMI shielding silicone with a UL94V-0 flame rating. Use it instead of GORE GS2100, which W.L. GORE has discontinued.
- SSP502-60V0 is a 60-durometer, flame-retardant EMI shielding silicone with a UL94V-0 flame rating. Use it instead of GORE GS5200, which has also been discontinued.
Ready-to-Install Space Products
SSP also makes EMI gaskets and EMI O-rings for space applications. As a vertically integrated company, we combine materials manufacturing with fabrication capabilities that include flash cutting and compression molding. Both are ideal for prototyping and lower volume production, and we offer lower minimum order quantities (MOQ) and faster lead times than the competition.
EMI waveguide gaskets from SSP are available for common flanges with WR and EG designations. In addition to standard products, SSP fabricates custom gaskets. O-rings can be compression molded as a single piece or cut and bonded from the extrusions that we make. To ensure dependable EMI shielding, bonding is achieved with hot vulcanization and an electrically conductive adhesive.
