Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) is pleased to introduce Matt Couture as our Controller, Jennifer Wagner as our Human Resources Manager, and Ryan Davidson-Romanoff as our New Product Specialist. Please join us in welcoming them to our fast-growing company.
Matt Couture, Controller
As SSP’s new Controller, Matt Couture is focused on becoming what he describes as “a business partner” to Manufacturing, Sales, Quality/Engineering, Management, and our customers. In addition to leveraging his manufacturing experience, he’s applying his knowledge of financial analysis to drive business decisions. Along with break-even analysis, more granular product margin analysis, and CapEx prioritization, Matt’s skills include challenging “we’ve always done it this way” thinking.
Before joining SSP, Matt spent 10 years with Von Roll USA Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical insulation for the power generation industry, and six years with Protective Industrial Products (PIP), a global provider of personal protective equipment (PPE). He’s been married for just over two years and is the proud father of a 14-month-old daughter. In his spare time, Matt enjoys bass fishing and annual vacations on Lake Champlain.
Jennifer Wagner, Human Resources Manager
Jennifer Wagner, SSP’s new Human Resources Manager, describes her role as “all about employee engagement and making sure that all team members have the essentials to do their jobs efficiently and effectively.” In addition to recruiting employees, managing benefits, and reviewing payroll, she’s responsible for updating and maintaining policies and for communicating with the entire SSP team. She’ll also help with training and will continue to “make working at SSP a fun, family atmosphere.”
Jennifer and her husband are preparing to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in June. They enjoy spending time together as they search for their next classic car project, and Jennifer is preparing to start her first fruit and vegetable garden this year. She describes herself as “the mother of two beautiful adult girls, a doctor and a social worker, who make me proud every day.”
Ryan Davidson-Romanoff, New Product Specialist
As our New Product Specialist, Ryan Davidson-Romanoff will focus on formulating new materials and managing existing custom formulations under the direction of Amelia Berry, SSP’s Product Development Chemist. A native of Long Island, Ryan worked previously as a Quality Technician at Electro Fiber Technologies in Schenectady, New York. There, he focused on testing fiber products and analyzing chemical composition. Ryan is married and lives in Cohoes, New York.
