MIL-DTL-83528 Type D Material

SSP2486-70 is a 70-durometer (Shore A) silver-aluminum fluorosilicone that is part of the Qualified Products List (QPL) for MIL-DTL-83528, Type D. SSP also makes other M83528 QPL certified EMI silicones for applications that require Type A, B, C, or K materials.

Key Performance Specifications for SSP2486-70

SSP2486-70  is capable of 90 dB of plane wave shielding effectiveness at 10 GHz, with a continuous use temperature range of -55°C to +160°C. It is also resistant to solvents and jet fuels.

SSP2486-70 can also be used instead of CHO-SEAL 1298, a silver-aluminum fluorosilicone from Parker Chomerics that is used in military, naval, and aerospace electronics.
