BNC Connector Gaskets
SSP makes BNC connector gaskets that provide EMI/RFI shielding and environmental sealing with BNC connectors that are used with circular/threaded bulkheads or flat, 4-hole flange mounts. We offer low-to-medium volumes and fast turnaround times.
As a vertically integrated manufacturer, SSP makes its own EMI/RFI shielding silicones, machines tooling in-house, and fabricates products in accordance with our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system in Ballston Spa, New York (USA).
What is a BNC Connector Gasket?
A BNC connector gasket is designed for use with a BNC connector, which uses a push-and-twist motion with two small locking pins. They generally fall into two categories:
- Cable and weatherproof O-Rings
- Bulkhead and panel mount flat gaskets
Cable and Weatherproof O-Rings
Standard male or female BNCs that use clamp or gasket weatherproofing typically utilize small, circular seal rings:
- Outer Diameter (O.D.): Usually ~ 0.430” to 0.500” (10.9 mm to 12.7 mm)
- Inner Diameter (I.D.): Usually ~ 0.350” to 0.440” (8.9 mm to 11.1 mm)
- Thickness: Typically around 0.030” to 0.060” (0.75 mm to 1.5 mm)
Bulkhead and Panel Mount Flat Gaskets
For square or D-shape BNC panel-mount jacks, rectangular or square environmental/EMI gaskets are used:
- Standard Size: Roughly 0.500” to 0.687” (12.7 mm to 17.48 mm) overall width
- Thickness: Most commonly die-cut from 0.020” to 0.032” (0.5 mm to 0.8 mm) sheet materials
- Center Hole (I.D.): Cut to clear the BNC bulkhead body (typically ~ 0.380” or 9.5 mm)
